An orange mark beside a handle on ZONERA confirms that the account is who it says it is. It is granted only after a person on our team reviews the application.
If your real-world identity meets either of these, we’ll review your verification request:
- Notable presence. Independent press has covered you, you already carry a verification mark on a major peer platform, or you have a recognised presence in your field: athletes, musicians, journalists, public officials, established creators, brands, and organisations.
- Authentic identity. The account will represent a real person, brand, or organisation. Fan accounts, parody accounts, and aggregator accounts don’t qualify under this policy. They’re welcome on ZONERA, just not what verification is for.
All of the evidence is information you control. We do not ask for a government ID.
- Legal name. For brand or organisation applications, the legal entity name. We do not publish this.
- What you are applying as. Creator, athlete, journalist, musician, brand or company, organisation or non-profit, public official, or other.
- Three press links. Articles in independent, established outlets that cover you or your work. Promotional placements, paid posts, and outlets you control do not count.
- One peer-platform link. Optional but speeds up review. The URL of your profile on X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, or your official website, ideally one that already carries a verification mark of its own.
- Short statement. A line or two on what you do publicly and why someone might search for your account on ZONERA.
Most decisions land within 14 days of submission. Each request is reviewed by a member of the ZONERA team, not by an automated system. We weigh the evidence against the criteria above and confirm the account belongs to the person, brand, or organisation in the application.
After you submit, we email a receipt and place the request in the ZONERA review queue. Approval, denial, and revocation decisions are logged by ZONERA and emailed to the account address.
You will receive an email at your account address when there is an update. If you do not see it, check your spam folder before contacting support.
If we cannot verify the account from the evidence provided, we will mark the request not approved and explain the reason. You can submit a new request after 90 days. The most useful thing to do during the 90 days is build new independent press coverage and add a peer-platform verification on a major external service.
The mark can be removed by ZONERA if any of the following is true:
- The information in the original request turns out to be false or misleading.
- Repeated violations of the Community Guidelines on the account.
- The account is sold, transferred, or used by a different person, brand, or organisation than the one verified.
We notify you by email when the mark is removed and keep the action in the verification audit trail.
Verification on ZONERA is free. There is no paid path. No subscription, no fee, no priority queue you can purchase. The mark is granted on merit alone.
ZONERA uses orange for identity verification so it stays separate from paid cosmetics and peer-platform habits. The orange mark is reserved for verified human, brand, and organisation accounts only.
Verification is free, manual, proof-based, and reviewed by ZONERA. There is no self-serve verification, no paid tier, and no automated approval. A ZONERA reviewer reads each request against the rules above and decides.
